Once you descide you want to go ahead 25mm long magnets are $2:00 each. Some builders are opting to go with a longer magnets up to 42mm the cost for these is $2:97 each. Then you have to tell me where they are to be delivered so we can get a shipping price frfom China.

You will need a minimum of 132 magnets.

The shape of the magnets is always the same regardless of the length.

The material to manufature the stator and rotor determins how long the magnets need to be and is why the length of the magnets are now available to suit your design material thick as material varies from country to country, but MDF is available in all areas of the world being common to the furniture industry.

Therefore I recommend the stator and rotor be laser cut from MDF material. MDF is a wood product used in furniture where strength and durability is required. In the USA and Canada 1 inch is available (25.4 mm)

In Australia 16 mm is the maximum thickness therefore multiple layers are sandwiched so you would combine two for 32 mm thick or longer, your option for the stator and rotor. If you opt for a longer magnet the 2 dollars will supply 32 mm long, longer will bare an additional cost and will have to be quoted by the supplier in China. The price includes delivery supplied in a shielded magnetic box for air freight packed in foam.

You can download www.emachineshop.com free cad program who will supply and cut your design, however they are expensive. The files I will send you are ems or DXF, however the cad program emachineshop will read the files I send you and from there you can convert to DXF for the laser company in your area and will advise the various materials and thicknesses available. This could be plastic, Perspex or other, the lowest cost in Australia is the MDF. In other countries the plastics may be competitive and any laser company will advise what is available.  The length of the magnet is variable for each order and is your option to determine how long you will need and this depends on the material available in your area.

The die for making the magnets was manufactured then fitted to a rotor after the laser cut was tailored to the shape for a perfect fit.

The magnets are Neodymium N52 very powerful with a high gauss flux. I suggest and include in the drawings an end plate rotor with provisions for 25 mm mild steel plugs, these are to assist start up or control revs with a DC pulse. This can easily be achieved by 16 gauge copper wire with 150 turns mounted on the end of the outside end plate. It can be either timed or fired from a car coil or use a commercially available coil. Many magnetic motors use a start up kick or a means for regulating speed.  Other builders slide the rotor out of alignment with the stator for stopping the rotation.

The Golightly Marshall Magnetic Motor was developed after I discovered how to alter the magnetic gauss by reshaping a permanent magnet to a shape that projects the pole out from the normal magnetic field to an offset point. Then the magnets were stacked and fanned apart so that the fields form a saw tooth arrangement.

The normal like pole repelling phenomenon of all magnetic fields were altered by

1) the tapered shape

2) stacking magnets in a deck

3) spreading the ‘deck’ fanning the projected fields

4) the fields interacting between the fanned fields of a like pole

5) enabling the normally attracting poles to repel

This breakthrough allows a magnetic field to be reversed so that a pack of magnets set in a stator allows the rotor set to approach with little or no repulsion to pass the engage point then repel resulting in a movement of free power.

The single stator rotor arrangement is a 1 inch or 25 mm flat plate laser cut as shown, you will have to cut 12 sets and 12 spacers as well as end plates and spacers. The motor will require a pulse to regulate speed, a magnetic winding for start up and speed regulation.

The motor is a square 400 mm and 800 mm long.

The diagram shown has 5 magnets in the stator and 6 in the rotor. 132 magnets = 264 US + shipping.

The drawing shows one stator and one rotor laser cut. The drawing with the multiple cuts below show 18 layers each offset 20 degrees with the stator magents all on the same position for 18 layers. The cad files show in detail how these are set in the design, the arrangement is to allow one interaction 20 times per revolution.
